Finance master's description
In the Master of Science program in finance, you develop deep expertise in corporate finance and asset or portfolio management and equip yourself with the tools needed to manage complex financial institutions. This is one of the few advanced finance degree programs offered by a top-ranked business school and provides you with a foundation in business and finance. You have access to highly distinguished faculty, motivated classmates and personalized career resources.
Faculty members bring advanced research and decades of practical experience into the classroom. Classes are offered full time during the week in a lockstep course format that enables you to build on concepts throughout the program. The program offers two tracks --- corporate finance and investments, and analytical methods --- to help you align your degree with your career goals.

Applicants must fulfill the requirements of both the Graduate College and the W. P. Carey School of Business. Applicants must have earned a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in business and management, economics, statistics, computer science, or other types of science, engineering, technology and mathematics areas. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 credit hours or 90 quarter hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program. All applicants must submit: Additional Application Information There are two main audiences for the program: recent undergraduates from business, economics or related majors or from programs in which quantitative skills have been emphasized, and career advancers who have strong quantitative skills and seek to adapt those skills to be more competitive in the job market. Career advancers must be able to commit to a full-time plan of study; the program may not cater to working professionals as it is currently designed. This program is appropriate for students who have completed undergraduate programs with quantitative underpinnings at ASU or other universities. The letter of recommendation should comment on the student's motivation, commitment, achievements, work experience and likely success in the program. Frequently asked questions about degree programs
Accelerated programs allow students the opportunity to expedite the completion of their degree.
Accelerated master's
These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).
Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master's during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program. Interested students can learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.
Concurrent degrees allow students to pursue their own personal or professional interests, earn two distinct degrees and receive two diplomas. To add a concurrent degree to your existing degree, work with your academic advisor.
Joint programs, or jointly conferred degrees, are offered by more than one college and provide opportunities for students to take advantage of the academic strengths of two academic units. Upon graduation, students are awarded one degree and one diploma conferred by two colleges.
